Barbara Nanning started working with glass in the early 90’s and had a prolific production ever since. She unfolds a visual vocabulary of plants and fruits encompassing all things lucid and glowing, wet-like shiny, frozen and frosted; concealing a delicate and precious inner void. Playing with textures and light reflexion, Nanning combines thick walled vividly colored glass with delicate metal gilding. Consistently inspired by the vegetal realm, her series of curvaceous and folded objects make up an fantastic encyclopedia.
