In February 2023 Pierre Marie Giraud was pleased to announce a new gallery exhibition by French ceramicist Alain Vernis. Vernis showed his elegant ceramic bowls, which have a profound and unique connection to the materials they were crafted from.

"In this relationship to matter, decision belongs to the soil. Each bowl is but the reflection of the unspoken silence that oozes out of the attentive listening to the act of shaping: a long wandering meditation where the mineral takes the fingers through a writing where inside and outside are one. Engobe and enamel, conceived to help each bowl breathe, will coat the « work » within the flow of the season?s colour and light. And if white, this gift from heaven prevails, it is the sign of its longtime presence on the highest Morvan hills."
